Origins is an Old Testament experience created by InterVarsity to strengthen biblical literacy and theological formation.

Origins provides an environment where you can

  • encounter the living God
  • grow in your discipleship
  • learn the big picture of God's work of redemption
  • deepen your desire to read and study the Old Testament on your own.

Whether you have spent your whole life around the Bible, or are just getting started, we invite you to join us on an exciting journey through the Bible Jesus read!

Origins will be held March 7-10, 2022 at Waypoint Church in Chapel Hill. Hotel accommodations are at Staybridge Suites, Durham and are included in the registration fee.

Register before February 1, 2022 for early bird pricing.

Registration deadline is March 1, 2022 at 11:59 PM.

Kevin Boyd Scripture Engagement Coordinator - Carolinas

Kevin has been on staff with InterVarsity for 16 years, recently completed his masters degree in biblical studies, and loves how weird the Old Testament is. He lives with his family in Winston-Salem, NC, where you can find him making furniture, walking his dog, or wishing he was napping.

Angela Cho Campus Staff Minister - Duke

Angela has been a campus minister at Duke for five years, where she also graduated in 2016. She loves being in the mess and joys of students' lives and shepherding them towards Jesus through it all. If you want to know her more, ask her what food last made her excited, or about thrifting!

Bekah Watkins Campus Staff Minister - ECU

Bekah is originally from New Jersey and has been on staff with InterVarsity for six years. She serves at ECU in Greenville, NC where she lives with her husband Phil and three kitties. For instant friendship, strike up a convo with Bekah about anything cats, board games or essential oils.

Torie Atkin Campus Staff Minister - UNC-W

Torie has been on staff since graduating from the University of South Carolina in 2018. She loves leading Bible study and helping UNCW students discover who God is and his love for them. Catch Torie playing ultimate frisbee, enjoying her latest book obsession, or loudly singing Hamilton!
