About Imago Dei!

InterVarsity in the Carolinas would like to invite you to join others from around North and South Carolina to our annual Ethnic Specific Conference called Imago Dei. We will gather together in Apex, NC, at Hope Community Church Apex Campus (2080 E. Williams St., Apex, NC) on November 1 and 2, 2024.

We will spend time together in ethnic specific tracks—AAM (Asian and Asian American students), BCM (Black students from all over the African diaspora), and LaFe (Latino and Latina students). While we will have time in tracks, we will also spend time all together, having meals together and worshipping together both days.

If you choose to join us, you will have opportunities to meet students from across the Carolinas, experience God’s love for you through worship, laugh and have fun, grow in understanding how God created you in your own unique ethnic identity. We will go deeper in our ethnic identities and investigate how our ethnic identity stories intersect with others on our campuses and in our communities.

Please consider joining us!

But what if I am mixed, biracial, or multiracial?

If you identify as mixed, multiracial, or bi-racial, we know how difficult it could be to feel forced to pick between multiple parts of who you are. Our society is an “all or nothing” society with lots of binary thinking and it can be hard to figure out where and how mixed people fit. Well, we would love to have you join us at Imago Dei! You will have to sign up for one track, but we know that the choice you make does not make the other parts of you any less valid. There will be opportunities to connect with other mixed people and we will invite you at different times to go where feels most like home for you throughout the weekend. Multiple mixed staff will be available to help you process your experiences.

Registration closes Friday, October 25 at 11:59 pm.

Talk to your InterVarsity staff if you need a scholarship.
